What Families and Dancers Need to Know About the June 13 Company Team Auditions at Motiv8 Dance Movement

The 2026–2027 Company Team Auditions at Motiv8 Dance Movement are coming up on Saturday, June 13, 2026, giving dancers and families an opportunity to learn more about the upcoming competitive season and become part of the MDM team environment.
Whether dancers are exploring competitive dance for the first time or already have previous experience, the auditions are designed to help place dancers in the appropriate level based on age, experience, commitment, and overall readiness for the season.
Here is everything families need to know before audition day.

Audition Schedule
Ages 11 and under: 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM
Ages 12 and over: 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM
Families are encouraged to arrive early for check in and preparation.
Age Divisions
The MDM Company Team includes the following age divisions for the 2026–2027 season:
Minis: Ages 5–8
Juniors: Ages 9–11
Teens: Ages 12–14
Seniors: Ages 15–18
What Is the Difference Between Mini Company, Company, and Elite Company?
The MDM competitive program offers different levels of commitment and training opportunities depending on each dancer’s experience, goals, and placement.
Mini Company
Mini Company is designed for younger dancers beginning their competitive dance experience and developing foundational performance and team skills.
Company Team
The Company Team is intended for dancers interested in a more consistent competitive dance experience throughout the season, including rehearsals, competitions, and additional training commitments.
Elite Company
Elite Company is designed for dancers seeking a higher level of commitment and training.
Elite Company auditions require attendance at a prior audition or an invitation.
Experience Levels Welcome
The auditions are open to dancers with different levels of experience, including:
Less than 1 year of competitive experience
1–2 years of competitive experience
3+ years of competitive experience
Dancers who have never competed before but are interested in joining a team environment
Families may also identify their dancer’s current level as:
Novice/Recreational
Intermediate
Advanced/Elite
Not Sure Yet
Competition Season Information
The MDM Competitive Team participates in:
Three regional competitions each season
One national competition annually
Families may also indicate interest in optional local competitions.
During registration, dancers and families may select the level of commitment they are interested in for the season, including:
1–3 routines
4–6 routines
7+ routines
Weekly rehearsal and class expectations may vary depending on placement and commitment level.
Audition Attire
All dancers attending auditions should wear:
Black dance basics
Hair pulled back in an slick, neat bun
Proper dance shoes for audition participation
Dancers should arrive prepared, presentation ready, and dressed appropriately for movement evaluations.

The registration fee for the Company Team Auditions is:
