Motiv8 Dance Movement Joins Magic City’s Dance World for Miami’s Ultimate Dance Convention

MDM coaches Amanda Muñoz-Lio and Donovyn Diaz, together with Elite Company dancer Alyssa Wong, will participate as featured Faculty on October 10.

Motiv8 Dance Movement is proud to collaborate with Magic City’s Dance World for Miami’s Ultimate Dance Convention, taking place October 10, 2026.

As part of this collaboration, MDM coaches Amanda Muñoz-Lio and Donovyn Diaz will join the convention faculty as featured choreographers. Alyssa Wong, a member of the Motiv8 Dance Movement Elite Company and Dance Icon, will also participate as a featured choreographer and faculty member.

They will join Leah Gonzalez, PK (Phillip Kendrick), Lourdes Albarellos and Alain Marquez for an educational dance experience that will bring together dancers, teachers and studios from across the region.

For Motiv8 Dance Movement, having three members of our community represented on the convention faculty is a meaningful distinction. It reflects the talent, dedication and creative development taking place within our studio while providing an opportunity to share the Motiv8 approach with Florida’s broader dance community.

ABOUT MIAMI’S ULTIMATE DANCE CONVENTION

Presented by Magic City’s Dance World, Miami’s Ultimate Dance Convention is designed to give dancers access to experienced Florida choreographers, new movement styles and an energizing environment centered on education and artistic growth.

Dance conventions allow students to step beyond their regular class environment and learn from instructors with different creative perspectives. These experiences challenge dancers to adapt quickly, strengthen their performance skills and become more confident and versatile artists.

The October 10 convention will bring together seven featured Dance Icons & choreographers:

Each faculty member will bring a distinct perspective to the convention, creating an opportunity for participants to explore movement, musicality, technique and performance through a variety of instructional approaches.

ABOUT MAGIC CITY’S DANCE WORLD

Magic City’s Dance World produces family-friendly dance conventions, regional competitions and national events throughout Florida. Its programs are created for dancers, teachers, studios and families seeking professional, organized and encouraging dance experiences.

The organization is committed to fair play, integrity and creating a positive experience for every dancer who participates. Its competitions welcome multiple performance formats, including solos, duets, trios, small groups, large groups and productions, with divisions structured around dancers’ ages and performance levels.

MOTIV8 COACHES JOIN THE CONVENTION FACULTY

Amanda Muñoz-Lio and Donovyn Diaz will represent Motiv8 Dance Movement as coaches and featured choreographers.

Their participation extends the work they do at MDM beyond the studio and gives dancers from across the region an opportunity to experience their knowledge, creativity and approach to instruction.

At Motiv8, our coaches help dancers understand that technical development and artistic growth are connected. Training requires discipline, consistency and attention to detail, but it also requires curiosity, confidence and the freedom to explore an individual creative voice.

Participating in Miami’s Ultimate Dance Convention allows our coaches to share those values while collaborating with other respected members of Florida’s dance community.

A SPECIAL OPPORTUNITY FOR ALYSSA WONG

Alyssa Wong’s participation as a featured choreographer is an important achievement for the young artist and for the Motiv8 Dance Movement Elite Company.

Alyssa trains and competes as part of MDM’s Elite Company, where dancers receive advanced instruction and prepare for regional and national performance opportunities. Her inclusion on the convention faculty places her alongside established dance professionals in an educational and creative role.

As a featured choreographer, Alyssa will have an opportunity to share her movement vocabulary, artistic perspective and performance experience with participating dancers.

Her selection reflects the importance of giving emerging artists opportunities to develop leadership, communicate their creative vision and contribute to the growth of other dancers.

The collaboration between Motiv8 Dance Movement and Magic City’s Dance World is grounded in a shared commitment to dance education, artistic development and positive performance experiences.

Dance training reaches far beyond learning steps and choreography. It teaches discipline, resilience, responsibility, teamwork and self-confidence. It also gives young artists a way to communicate, connect with others and discover what they are capable of achieving.
